Trev Rogers College Football Picks move to 17-9 YTD!

Football Picks

I can not remember the last time I released 9 picks on a Saturday, but yesterday just presented a lot of games that fit into my algorithm for selecting winners.

As usual I received emails telling me I was crazy for certain selections like Ohio +24 against Tennessee…..”There is no way this play wins Trev” was in my inbox about 25 times before kick off on Saturday. Now we know, Ohio +24 and 7 other winners including 3 Game of the Year selections, made it a very profitable Saturday!

My clients are still counting all of the cash they won from a HUGE 8-1 Saturday where they won 3 GOY selections!

- UAB/Texas A&M won as his *College Football Total of the Year #2* (2-0 YTD)

- Ohio +24 won as his *SMALL SCHOOL GOY* over Tennessee

- Arizona State covered against Georgia aS his *College Football GOY #2* (2-0 YD)!

Sunday is just as BIG and just as strong! Do not miss this 1pm(est) EARLY NFL SURPRISE WINNER!

My free Pick for the NFL today is on the Sunday Night game between the Colts vs. Cardinals. All I see today is everyone picking the AZ Cardinals as I troll through the betting forums. I guess everyone thinks the Colts are just not that good this year after their shaky showing Monday night against the Dolphins. Normally I would say not to take a team in the middle of back to to back road games in the NFL, but I just have to buck the public trend here and take the Colts Sunday night plus the points.

What have we learned as we head into Week 3 College Football?

UCLA is much improved

UCLA is out to a 2-0 start both straight up and against the spread. In week 1, they defeated San Diego State 33-14 as an 18 point home favorite. Then they went on the road to play Tennessee as a double digit underdog and won the game outright 19-15. While the offense has struggled a bit, the defense has been superb in the first two weeks of the season. In two games they have given up an average of 242 yards per game and just 77 yards a game on the ground. If Kevin Prince can step up his game, UCLA could definitely be bound for the post-season and maybe pull off some upsets in the Pac 10 conference. All in all, Rick Neuheisel appears to have his team back on track and primed to make a run at a bowl game. See Week 3 Football Picks

Michigan State is overrated

Michigan State opened the season with a cupcake game against Montana State where they won handily 44-3. But last week they were favored by 14.5 points at home against Central Michigan and wound up losing the ball game outright. They were out-gained by 102 yards and lost 29-27. The secondary was absolutely terrible as they gave up 352 yards through the air to Central Michigan. The Spartans are also feeling the loss of star tailback Javon Ringer as they were only able to muster 101 yards rushing for an average of 3.4 yards per carry. Michigan State could be in deep trouble this week against Notre Dame and their potent passing attack. If Dan LeFeavour can put up over 350 yards passing, how many will Jimmy Claussen put up? See Week 3 Football Picks

Virginia is a definite go against team

Virginia opened the season up with a 26-14 loss to Division IAA William and Mary. Then last week, they got absolutely manhandled by TCU in a game that wasn’t as close as the 30-14 score indicated. TCU controlled the game on both sides of the ball and we must point out that both of Virginia’s embarrassing losses came at home. The Cavs have no consistent quarterback and their defense has been extremely poor as well. Al Groh is on the hot seat and I think this will be his final year because this team is flat out bad. Expect Virginia to struggle mightily in ACC conference play. If you can find a reasonable number, go against the Cavaliers. See Week 3 Football Picks

It was a great way to kick off the college football season for myself and all of my clients. If you have followed my site for the last 5 years, you know that I play every single one of my selections that I release to the public. I win and lose with my clients. Fortunately, we win a good portion of the time or I would be out of business.

Saturday was a great way to start the college football season. My “Top Rated” selection won with absolute ease as California -21 crushed Maryland 52-13! I released my “INSIDER” selection on California 8 days before the game in order for everyone to load on my first “INSIDER” winner since last season. I hope a you all crushed the books with HUGE winner! My “Top Rated” selections are now 117-71-9 since 2006 and 21-12-1 in 2009 combined in all sports!
Everyone told me I was crazy when I released Washington +18 as my “SHOCKER” call against LSU……not only did they cover, but they almost took the game outright. My other selections were Akron +28 against Penn State which was a nail bitter in terms of getting the cover, but we got it. Washington State completely let us down as they were with in 2 touch downs in the 4Q but let the game getaway. My final selection was SD State +19 against UCLA, which was graded as push by some books, although I realize many bettors may have SD State at +18.5. SD State should have been an easy victory but they missed a 35 yard FG and threw an INT in UCLA’s end zone late in the 4Q.

All in all I will take a 3-1-1 Saturday every week of the season folks. I hope you will join my site for another profitable ride through the 2009-2010 football betting season.
Check out today’s winning college football picks from all of the handicappers on my sports picks network as I am passing on Sunday. Look for my week 1 NFL Picks to be up Tuesday of this week.
