MLB | May 20, 2013 Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox |
Boston Red Sox -143 at BETONLINE |
Lost $143.0 |
|
Today's winner is Boston over Chicago. This is my High Roller Play. Boston is riding a 5-game streak due to both solid pitching and a recent explosion from Pedroia and Ortiz. The Red Sox are tied for the best road record in base ball at 14-7 away from home. In the L10 meetings in this series, Boston has owned Chicago, winning 8 of the 10. The Red Sox lineup ranks in the Top-10 in every offensive category. Homers, Base-Hits, Walks, moving the runners by sacrificing, and SBs, this team can do it all. Jon Lester brings a 6-0, 2.72 record into Chicago. The LH has allowed 2 or less runs in six of his nine starts. The White Sox lost their L2 and are just 8-9 at home. The team posts 3.69 RPG. Inconsistency has been an issue all season. Dylan Axelrod is 1-3 with a 4.27 ERA, yielding 24 hits in 19 IP just in his L3 outings. The Red Sox are 19-7 their L26 games vs. teams with a losing record, 7-2 in Lesters L9 starts, and 5-1 their L6 games played in Chicago. The White Sox are 13-28 their L41 games played as a 'dog, 1-4 in Axelrods L5 home starts, and 4-10 their L14 games vs. LH starters. Take Boston. Thank you. |

MLB | May 20, 2013 Cincinnati Reds vs. New York Mets |
Cincinnati Reds -148 at 5DIMES |
Won $100 |
|
Today's winner is Cincinnati over New York. This is my Grand Slam play. New York is one of the worst home teams in the League, sporting a 9-12 mark when hosting. The Mets have lost 7 of 10 and 15 of their L22 overall. They have mustered just 2 wins in their last 10 outings at Citi Field. With a .230 Team BA and a whopping 350 strike-outs, NY has only 2 or 3 batters that are producing. Their pitching ranks among the most generous units in the game with a Staff ERA of 4.54. RH, Shaun Marcum is 0-4 with an ERA of 6.75, giving up 29 hits in just 21.1 IP. The Reds are 7-2 their L9 and overall 11-4 their L15, averaging 5.4 RPG in that span. Joey Votto is on-fire, hitting .515 with 7 RBIs in his current 8-game hitting streak. The lineup has four batters each with 48 or more hits and six sluggers that can clear the fence and empty the bases. Their pitching ranks 4th in ERA (3.37) and 3rd in Ks (360). Johnny Cueto returns today from a stint on the DL. The RH started the season fanning 18 in his 17 1/3 IP before his injury. The Reds are 5-1 their L6 games played at the Mets, 11-1 their L12 games vs. RH starters, and 37-18 in Cueto's L55 overall starts. Take Cincinnati. Thank you. |
