Twins + 111

The Cleveland Indians took a liking to historic Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico on Tuesday with a win over the Minnesota Twins and they'll try to make it a two-game sweep when the teams meet again in San Juan on Wednesday night. Jose Ramirez and Michael Brantley had three hits apiece and slugged two of the Indians' four home runs in the series-opening 6-1 triumph.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Indians RH Carlos Carrasco (3-0, 3.48 ERA) vs. Twins RH Jose Berrios (2-1, 2.18)

After tying for the major league lead with 18 wins last season, Carrasco has picked up right where he left off with victories in each of his first three starts. He notched his ninth career complete game his last time out while allowing a run and three hits in a 5-1 win over the Detroit Tigers. Joe Mauer is 12-for-27 with a home run and four doubles against the 31-year-old Carrasco, who is 5-6 with a 3.83 ERA in his career versus the Twins.

Two starts after posting his first career shutout, Berrios spun seven scoreless innings while striking out 11 in a win over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. He has 24 strikeouts against one walk and is holding opponents to a .164 batting average through his first three outings.

Indians are 2-8 in their last 10 games on fieldturf. Twins are 9-1 in Berrios' last 10 home starts. Twins are 5-1 in their last 6 Wednesday games with Cooper behind home plate.

Pacers

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers had two full days off to consider a rare terrible performance and a loss in a first-round game, and more aggression from the superstar at the start seems to be the answer. The fourth-seeded Cavaliers will try to even the Eastern Conference series at one win apiece when they host the fifth-seeded Indiana Pacers in Game 2 on Wednesday.

Cleveland was down 25-8 in the first quarter on Sunday before James attempted his first field goal, and coach Tyronn Lue suggested that he needs to force the issue, no matter what the defense is giving him.

The Pacers dominated on both ends of the floor in the 98-80 Game 1 triumph but they are not satisfied and I expect them to play well again tonight.

Cleveland shot 38.5 percent from the floor in Game 1, including 8-of-34 from 3-point range. While I expect them to have a better shooting night I still think the Pacers get the cover in game two.

Pacers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Cavaliers are 12-25-1 ATS in their last 38 games following a straight up loss and are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games playing on 2 days rest. Pacers are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Cleveland.
